FIRE CREW MEMBER

Fire Crew members must be certified with their initial fire training:

wildland firefighters are required to

  • Work under the supervision of a Crew Leader

  • Operate under a code of conduct

  • Maintain readiness during the operational season

  • Relocate on short notice

  • Work long hours under duress of emergency situations

  • Be amenable to a variety of accommodations

  • Be responsible for personal, company, and BCWS equipment

  • Submit copies of all relevant certifications

  • Pass a yearly fitness test

wildland firefighters are provided:

  • Nomex Uniforms

  • Pulaskis and Hand Tools

  • Crew Transportation

  • Accommodation
